I've been lurking around the forums on and off reading up on and getting information for my current Remignton 700 Police build, like the rest of you I'm an advocate of the 2nd ammendment and am happy to add my most recent rifle to the collection.
I recently acquired my 700P and am hoping to do some modifications to it to be a tack driver out to 800 yards. I come from a military background and spent some time with 3ID Fort Benning, GA before getting out a few years ago.
most of my shooting experience comes from time spent with Uncle Sam so please excuse any of my military indoctrination as almost all of my time shooting bolt guns has come from the Military.
My Recent acquistion of my 700P I had plans to set it up similar to my old Military M24 SWS yet I have come to find it a very unrealistic goal and for all intensive purpose probably not what I'd end up using the rifle for.
The current armory is small, yet growing. I'm a believer of Quality over quantity, yet here it is..
Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm - Primary Range/Duty gun

- Threaded barrel coming soon for some suppressed goodness
Glock 19 - CCW
- Custom trigger job w/ 3.5lbs connector
- A little frame work for enhanced grip angle

- Cerakote coming soon.
BCM Built AR15 - 16" Mid-length gas - Fun boom stick.
- The mod list would never end.. but I'm sure y'all have seen a built AR before.
Remington 870 Express Tactical 12ga
- All stock right now, but been reading and researching future modifications and enhacements.
Remington Model 700 Police
- Recently acquired, all stock.. needs a lot of work.
Hoping some of the guru's on here can give me some suggestions as to what glass, base and scope rings would make a good combination for a 1000yrd capable set-up with the intention to hit out to 800 with ease!
