Is there a difference between the standard 1911R1 receiver and the 1911R1 Enhanced receiver? From what I can tell, the slide stop cut-out on the standard extends all the way up through the rail. On the Enhanced, it seems to be just a hole (as with the Colt Series 70 Government Model). Is the standard receiver cast and the Enhanced forged (or milled)? Is there a difference in practical quality or just in cost of manufacture?

I'm not sure as to what ou are asking, cause I have had a Enhanced model since Aug.202012.

How does your slide stop fit into the receiver? Is it a cut-out which extends up through the rail or is it just a hole (leaving the rail solid)? |

Jim, I believe all R1 frames are cast. I asked Remington about this back in Sep 2015. Here's their response:
Remington Arms 9/09/15 To: majdad93@hotmail.com Remington Support Service Ticket Response Thank you for contacting Remington! We apologize for the delayed response. All of our R1 1911 frames are cast. I hope this will clear up any confusion. Respectfully, Remington Consumer Services Thank you and best regards, Remington Customer Services -Ed-
