Call wise, I use the Quaker Boy Killer Pipes for their pure ability to bring dogs in running with very little air pressure. These calls are distress calls that come in two compact color coded units that cover short range and long range. They are a little bigger than a cigarette each, and can be stowed in a shirt pocket. They come with an instructional dvd that is pretty entertaining and informative.

I am going to be testing out the new 3 Dog Night set of calls over the Summer.

I will have to look into those for next coyote season. I like the idea of having a really small caller.

We have no Coyotes over this side, but we do have foxes.
I have used everything to call foxes, from polysterene on glass to electronic and manual callers.

Foxes as far as I am aware are smaller than coyotes, but very similar in cunning and shot evasion.
We shoot most of them under the lamp over here, but I have shot some during day light.

I downloaded an app of calls for my android phone and Coyotes were on it.

The app was free!

Hi all :) .
I to shoot fox's in the UK with a REM-700-VSL in 223-55Grn Vmax a very good fox round.
The 55-Grn-SP are good for small deer we get over here .
I also like the good old 22-wmr with a 30 Grn Vmax up to 120 yrd's for fox's.
All the best Auto Man.

You could certainly take a poke at a coyote with a slug at under 100 yards and under 40 yards most buck shot would do the trick. It just depends on what you are doing with the pelts afterwards.
