I am looking for a new scope. Not a fan of Leupold or Redfield. My eyes are not as good as they used to be. The best scope I ever had was a Simmons Pro 50 I bought back in the late 80's. I don't want to spend a month's pay for it but I would like a good quality scope. Any suggestions?

You consider a vortex? I have one on a xcr 375 h and h, no complaints. I love leupold though

Last year I put a Bushnell XLT on my 700 in 30/06 caliber. Have run about 50 rounds through it with 150 grain loads and has held zero and I think the glass is pretty decent. Like you could not spend a great deal and this scope cost me about $150 but got a $20 rebate on it. Not a leupold but has been good so far. Just a suggestion.

When it comes to scopes...What Woks For You is a subjective term... literally in the eyes of the beholder.

What works for me and someone else may not work for you...especially when it comes to failing eyesight.

I suggest you go to a gun shop with a good selection of glass and look through each one yourself to be sure what brand...and what power setup...works for you.

It's the only way to be sure...
