Hello everyone:
I own a Remington 700 Police, since 2 months ago, and I have noticed that, when looking fron the top of the action, and when the safe lever is on the "fire" position, there is a gap, and I can see the surface that is below the rifle (my bed, for example). Is there something that has been lost, or it´s normal. I ask this cause I don´t remenber if it was like that when I first purschased it.
Greetings from Spain.

Sorry...can't help with that question.

But this post will bump it to the top for others to read and weigh in on it...

Im not understanding the question, there is a opening inwhich the lever moves, and of course, it would leave an open notch when in either position. Are you saying, you can see clean through rifle?

Hello:
Hammer1; I mean, when I look through the safe lever opening, I can see from certain angle, what is under the rifle ( the floor for example). In other words, it would be possible to pass a thread from the top of the lever opening to the botton, being the exit, the backside of the inner trigger gard.

Petrus, on my police in 300, I also can see through the rifle. On my 338 lapua police, I cant but it has a different style of trigger guard. So I guess, yes, its normal, at least with my limited inventory
