Hello folks!
I bought a used 11-87 for skeet and duck hunting. Ran 10 boxes of target loads, no problem. The first 15 shots of 3" steel went fine. I started having issues with the link getting stuck in the action tube and would have to pry it out. I bought a new action spring to replace it. The problem is, the old spring will not come out:) I removed the action spring plug pen and the spring just stays in. Am I doing something wrong?
Any information is greatly appreciated!

The action tube ended up having a burr in it. It was stopping the action spring from popping out. I took a long flathead screwdriver and pushed the spring as far as I could and took a round file and lightly filed the place I thought it was hanging. The spring then came out. Cleaned the action tube really well, replaced the spring. I went ahead and dropped in a new piston and seal since I already had it opened up and it was a used gun when I purchased it. Shooting like a dream! The ducks are not standing a chance now, as my freeze is being filled up
