Not new to shooting. Been in the Army for 16 years. So M16 and iron sites up to 300 meters is the norm. Just got into the idea of long range shooting. I purchased my Rem700 as a Mossy Oak ADL. Not having the floor plate was just bothering me. I went ahead and got a brand new take off hogue over-molded stock and a wyatt 10rd drop mag conversion kit. Added a bipod and a Nikon Prostaff x50. Zeroed the scope at 100-yrds. just got to find a place here in GA where I am stationed where I can start shooting out to 300-500 yards or meters...

appreciate it, i am still not done with my rem700. i am going to flute the bolt and have a knob installed, i also ordered a sunshade for my scope and numerous turret knobs for the windage and elevation knobs on my scope, can't wait to get them on, i will also get my barrel threaded for a muzzle brake
