Found this site via Google because I'm having problems disassembling my 1100.

I just typed in remington forums' to my search engine.

Noticed a video by HRFunk on youtube and he mentioned the forum. Glad to be here, R51 owner, looking to learn from others experiences. I have owned guns but not a lot for decades. I do have one quick ?
Anyone have comments on using automotive brake clean (can spray) to clean parts of guns. I have found it to be a great degreaser for lots of things but not sure if appropriate for guns. Comments welcome. Thank you for the site. |

Be very careful. More and more parts in firearms are becoming made from plastics, and BrakeCleen has a tendency to react with some of those. I'd feel okay using it to clean a barrel removed from a gun, but would not spray it indiscriminately around inside a polymer pistol (for example). NRA Life, NAHC Life, Retired USN

Thank you for your reply, that would be my approach, only on metal parts.

Welcome Don3.
When people ignorant of guns make gun laws, you end up with ignorant gun laws.

I searched for a Remington website using DuckDuckgo which is my favorite search engine as it does not track me or have any ads.
I am a long time owner of many different Remington products/firearms and with my latest acquisition of a V3 Semi Auto I wanted to compare notes on what I consider it to be, i.e. a paradigm change in gas auto design. |

I use duckduckgo too.
