[img][img][/img][/img]Hi all, I picked up this 760 at a pawn shop today. I believe it was made in 1950s
Bore is nice, wood not all that gteat, blueing ok.
It has an old Bushnell post and cross hair scope.
Cost me 249.00
Now decision is to refinish wood or leave it in it's present glory

If it were mine I would refinish the wood. These were truly nice guns with walnut and nice polish bluing. Bringing it back to it's original condition would be a plus. Not like your ruining a collector piece by refinishing. Think you got a good deal too. Much nicer gun than the matte finished synthetic stuff offered for more money these days. Again great score for that money.

All depends on your intended use. If it's just going to be a knock-about truck gun, then leave it rough so you don't care if it gets another scratch or dent. If you have the time and need the project, by all means refinish it. With pics, of course. That you share with us. Double of course.

That is a great deal, btw.

Post them on a photo-sharing site like Imgur, then use that site's "resize" feature to make them tolerable like 800x600. Then use the "Get Share Link" option to get a hyperlink to post for us. Imgur is free.

Yeah is early. One can tell by the forearm design. Great price again and I find it amazing a gun like this can be had for cheap money. One would think they should go for more with being more finely finished and with walnut. Good luck with it.

Funny thing is I found it where I would least expect it to be.... Ace hardware store on consignment in oak harbor Washington. It was marked down from 279.00 to 249.00. I went in there to buy window cleaner and ended up with it.
