Hi everyone,
I want to let everyone know that the recoil of my 783 450 Bushmaster is much much less than I thought it would be. It did not hurt at all. The recoil pad works great.

I've never fired one. Though I know a few guys who have built 450 BM AR's

I wouldn't think that there would be much recoil at all. That's a straight-walled cartridge and they tend to shove rather than snap back during recoil, which is why most of us can tolerate .45-70's. Besides, it's not much larger than a .44 Magnum round in a full length heavy rifle. I'd say enjoy that, use it, and shoot it a lot!

Yeah, 44 magnum doesn't bother me much even in an 8 inch hogleg.
