I just picked up a 783 in 6.5 creedmoor with a 16.5 inch heavy barrel. I've only put 20 rounds through it but I got to say first impressions are very good although it was only at 25 yards at the gun range shooting from a very uncomfortable and not so stable position I was able to put a 8 rounds all touching in a quarter-size hole. I can only imagine how well it's going to do once I actually put a decent scope on it and get it in a steady enough position to zero that baby in

Yeah, I just missed out on a 300 blackout in 783 for $340. I knew I should've jumped on it faster but didnt' really have the extra money with school starting so soon and having to buy new school shoes and clothes. Just wasn't in the cards right now.
