Are you sure it was a OEM factory model, or perhaps just a Boyd's aftermarket stock? Perhaps a Remington Custom Shop job?

Yes, it is a Remington standard Mod. I purchased it new on 10/22/2011 in huntsville Al at Dick's Sporting Goods, and have the original box.

A member of another forum thought it may have been a Dicks Sporting Good exclusive. If so, it was in a remington box.

I ordered a MCarbo trigger pro kit for this rifle today.. Has anyone here used the MCarbo kit? What were your results? Pull weight.

I put that trigger kit in my 597M and liked it a lot. Smoothed up the trigger pull. I did not test the before & after pull weight as the numbers mean little compared to actual performance.
