I am a retired member of the US Navy (1964-1983). I have always loved the 1911, my first job in the Navy was working in an armory but my father had one and I knew a lot about them cause I first shot one when I was 9. Then he made me clean it every time we went shooting which was often since he was in the Army (1941-1962).

Welcome to the forum. It's always good to hear about all those old stories.

While I'm thinking about it, I want to thank you for your service.
When people ignorant of guns make gun laws, you end up with ignorant gun laws.

Now I know they're not so ignorant and it's ATRRITION

I spent 2 years in Adak Alaska and have friends and my wife's relatives live there. Her aunt and uncle live in Wrangell and our friend lives in Kenai.
