Has anyone tried the Rem Hyper-velocity waterfowl shells? I would seem to me that the speed (1700 fps) would blow the pattern.

I would think ( and hope ) Remington would test any pattern deviation due to the speed...

But, to answer your question: No, I have not tried that load.

Well I'm getting the forcing cone done on my 11-87 barrel this week so I might try em the weekend after Christmas and I will report back then. I won't know about much the pattern, but I will know about recoil and killing efficiency.

I am not a fan of those shells.....the best waterfowl shells that I have used
out of my 1187 are the Hevimetal 3" and Hevishot Duck 3"

I totally agree about the Hevishot shotgun shells. They are simply the best that
I have used for upland, turkey and waterfowl. The pattern great and hit hard.
I have so few cripples using them
