Was very pleased to see that Galloway Precision is now making some spring kits and a couple part upgrades. I have used their products on my Sig238 and was very pleased. Hope to get the springs and spring seat this week and give some feedback ASAP. They have a website and also sell on eBay.

I put the trigger kit in my Rm380 and it made a significant difference in the trigger pull, it was well worth the money in my opinion.

Received my parts from Galloway and installed them yesterday. It has indeed made the trigger much easier and smoother. Will take it out today or Sunday and get back with some comments.

Took the RM380 to the range this past Saturday and was very pleased with the outcome of the spring changes. Definitely a better trigger pull, not only easier but smoother. I do believe the recoil was less too. Very pleased with the Galloway products for the RM380 !

I bought the RM380 because it and the Sig were the only 380 pocket pistols I could rack, with my arthritic hands.
I love the reliability of the pistol, but hate the long trigger pull and reset. Will either of the Galloway spring sets affect trigger pull and racking? |

JackBear4919, the Galloway trigger kit made a noticeable improvement on my trigger pull weight. It is still a long pull but it is now quite a bit smoother and the stacking at the end is less pronounced.

When I fire my RM380 sometimes I have the trigger all the was back (it will not go further) and it will not fire. This is even tho after my previous shot I released the trigger until I felt the reset click. Do you know if this mod will help or should I call Galloway precision parts?? Thanks |

I have a feeling even tho you say you release trigger till hearing reset you are not re-setting it, I know I can't hear when trigger re-sets and every once in a while I pull back and nothing is there, next time you shoot try releasing until finger just comes off trigger and see if you still have problem.
On my RM380 trigger has to come almost all the way out before it re-sets

Well that could be possible so on my next range visit after each shot I will release the trigger to the point that the trigger no longer touches my finger. If that is the solution I will have to get used to it. It will however slow my rate of fire down a bit so my first shot in a defensive situation will need to right on.

Even releasing trigger all the way I can still fire it pretty fast, I shot it today and checked, my trigger has to come almost all way out (very little take up) to reset it, and today practicing rapid fire I missed 3 times getting reset, it slowes you down a second but I can reset and fire pretty quick, so far at about 400 rounds I've had no failures, the reset I consider operator error

For those that have tried these upgrades which ones do you suggest. I ordered the AIP model because I live in Alabama. I've also ordered the clamshell recluse holster. I have custom traction grips coming with a weathered Alabama State Flag on them. Any other suggestions. This will be my carry gun when my Glock 43 isn't practical.

I'm about to buy a RM380 and really like everything about it fo far except for the heavy pause right before the break in the trigger. Do the Galloway parts help mitigate some of this? I don't mind the long trigger and the break is nice, just that one spot.

So, I received the recoil spring set, the firing pin return spring, the hammer spring and the hammer spring plug form Galloway. The install was easy. I found a video of he installation.

The original hammer spring gave a trigger pull of 8.25# and the new Galloway hammer spring gave a trigger pull of 6.75#. A reduction of 1.5#. I used a Timney trigger pull gauge. Found this forum searching for info on how to reduce the heavy RM 380 trigger. Wife has arthritis and loves the slide but the trigger was tearing her long finger up. Did the Galloway hammer and firing pin springs and quite happy with results. She thinks felt recoil increased, perhaps it did, I couldn't say really. But she smoked the Q target today qualifying to carry concealed.
 Thanks to Galloway and the members of this forum! This is a great little carry piece we have here! I'd say we have 500 rounds through it, from WWB to Armscorp to freedom munitions, & Hornaday FTX. No issues with any. Now, to find some Fiocchi Extrema XTP to test, then carry.

Just got my spring set but haven't put it in yet. I hope it makes it break sooner. It's right against the frame now and you really have to give it the added pressure to get it to break.

The Galloway spring set does not change where the trigger breaks. It only lightens the pull. Dave |

The RM380 wasn't designed to be a range gun. It is designed for self defense. The long pull is a safety feature. In a SHTF situation you would never notice the long trigger pull. The more I shoot mine the better I like it.
