Let us know what model 7600 you own

I only hunt with Remington pump rifles. They are the best thing going for the type of fast paced hunting my gang does. I hope to see more pumpers mixing it up on here as the season gets near later this year!

I have 7600's in 6mm Rem, 257 Roberts, 25-06 Rem, 7mm-08 Rem, 30-06 Springfield (carbine), 35 Rem (carbine), and 35 Whelen.
I own over 25 870's, 1100's and 1187 shotguns. The 7600 was a perfect transition for me. It carries and swings like a shotgun. |

Very Nice. If you get a chance to post some pictures of it, we would all love to see your collection.

Pictured below is my Remington Model 7600, a pump action centerfire rifle with a 22" barrel chambered in 30-06 Springfield. It has been produced by Remington Arms from 1981 to the present day, with this particular specimen being manufactured in 1985.
=================================================================== =================================================================== In the United States the Remington Model 7600 is a favored choice of deer hunters, with Remington advertising that the Model 7600 is "one of the most popular deer rifles in the USA." Its use is especially prevalent in Pennsylvania, where state game laws forbid the use of semiautomatic rifles for hunting. I got the stock on and went on easy and perfect!!!!Got my front grip on as well, that took a little ingenuity but its on.Now wating for Harris barrel mount for my sling mount, and my true one handed Super sling all coming this week!!!Gun above is my 7600 270 with thumb-hole stock added,I modified that by cutting off the 1 inch butt pad (made for shotguns IMO),made it much better (3'rd pic).....

What brand of 10 round magazine is that? The only ones I have found are made by Triple K. I have had nothing but bad magazines from Triple K in the past.

Just bought this 7600 pump .308.
I live in California and am limited to 10 round mags. I wanted this rifle for fun shooting, survival and far off defense. I made my mind up when I saw this guy easily pump out 10 rounds of 308; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bL-n7Y0SUEw I will be getting the ATI 870 20 GA stock because the 12 GA stock is slightly larger and wont fit the 7600. The ATI 7600 stock doesn't have that more advanced grip and cushion I like, (my 12 GA 870 has it). I want a Magpul forend, but can't find one. Not sure they make one for 7600 or 20 GA 870 My action needed to be worked in or something out of the box. It was kind of rough and sharp. So I took some sand paper to it and made the barrel face smooth where rounds bump into it and bind if you don't cycle with conviction. I hear the older rifles are smooth and cycle real easy from the start./? Since I have to give it a forceful shove forward to load, I wanted the forend to grip better. I have a left over AK-74 pistol grip,( Hogue grip replaced it ). I put sand paper over my 7600 forend and used it as a sanding block to get the AK grip flush. I used the long screw in the AK grip to fasten it to a nut I embedded into the forend. It's also backed up with epoxy and a stabilizer drywall screw in the front of grip. This works and fits my hand so well. I was just messing around while waiting to purchase a picatinny style forend and then fastening some Magpul XTM Hand Stop Kits to it. Or the Magpul forend if at all available. But now I'm going to stick with this till I break it. I like how I can set the handle down to pod-like stabilize at times. Even though it racks more positively now with the grip, I think it should still be more smooth...Any suggestions? I took pictures but am having a problem posting them, sorry. So I'm new to this rifle, any suggestions, tips or info. is welcome and appreciated. My biggest goal right now is to get 10 round 308 mags, and to get them to go in easy. maybe something like the M5 BDM (Badger Detachable Magazine) System, Short Action? Or good mags that work like the guy's do on youtube. |

I own two 7600's, on in , one in a .308 and my eldest is a 30-06 which I purchased with my father when I was 13. Best deer rifles for thick woods or cover in the world in my opinion, and with a good scope they are still tack drivers at 200 yards!

I bought my first 7600 3 years ago, first rifle ever bought. It's a 7600 .243 and I love it, accurate as heck, I put a 2-7x33 leupold on it. Bought another in 30-06 earlier this week in synthetic, so I took that stock off and put on a Boyd's stock I ordered 6 months prior to purchase. Went on with not major problems, and by far the nicest rifle I got. Looked beautiful but I put on a 3-9x50 vx2 on it to reach farther. I'd love to get a 7615 but hard to find here in Canada. I may have to settle for a .308 for a tactical build.
