Greetings - Yeah, the other Washington in the Pacific Northwest. I've lived here most of my life, born and raised on the coast. My dad bought me my first 'gun' (a BB gun) around 8 years old and I've been shooting something or other ever since. I've now retired and spend my sunset years expanding and/or improving my collection. Along with a couple black powder Sharps falling-block buffalo rifles this now includes a couple Remington rifles, a wood furniture 7400 carbine in .30-06 and a synthetic stock 750 in .308. I don't hunt anymore but still enjoy target shooting. The 7400 carbine with scope is a great little rifle but can be punishing on the shoulder after the first 10 rounds despite a recoil pad and harness. The 22" barrel 750 in .308 was purchased with the idea of lessening the impact but the rifle has a few issues. But that's a topic for another post. I handload most all my ammunition in seeking the best, most economical round that'll get the job done. Anyway I'm glad to be a member and hope to contribute to some of the discussions.

- M
