So I must have another ailment along with my Colt addiction, I have developed a Remington 1100 problem as well. So I pick up a Remington 1100 Trap just what I wanted and missed a few weeks ago, So I picked this Trap and have a question well two actually.
1. Are the 12's like the 20's LT & LW did they make two or three different models so I cant get a replacement barrel it sports a 30 mod. VR I would like to add rem choke interchangeability.
2. There is an Eagle on the bottom of the fore end down at the bottom by the loading port, Is this some special run? or a special model ?
Thanks in advance for the help if you can.
Well I did it again.

Yes...I understand the disease:)
The 12's are all the same just keep in mind that some barrels are for shooting 3" Magnums and most are for 2 3/4" shells.....this is what you have. Also "Special Field" model came with a straight stock. A new standard remchoke barrel should fit without issue. sounds to me like it may be one of the bi centennial models or at least have some of the parts? read this and see if anything makes since. http://www.remingtonsociety.com/rsa/journals/1100 Some pictures would be helpful, as well as the Prefix and Suffix letters in the serial number. I would be able to tell you when it was made and exactly what it is. We have done so much for so long with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing!

There are places around that can drill and tap a barrel for RemChokes, or others. This can usually bne done for less than the cost of a new barrel. That can be an option if the barrels are not interchangeable with newer models that already come equipped with RemChokes.

I can post some pics if I could figure out how....... The prefix letter is m and suffix is v I will read up on the picture posting and get some posted.
Well I think I figured it out I will post some later. |

"M" means it was made sometime between 1974 and 1977; "V" means it is a 12 gauge 2 3/4" receiver and barrel.
