I was looking at a mint 40x 223 rifle with a 21" bbl, sporter shaped, NOT a bull bbl or benchrest type stock today. ser # d5335*b any info on mfg date, fair price to pay. seller claims it's unfired & it appears to be, but no paperwork. with old leupold fixed 25x. the gun, scope & burris mounts for 1,200$, or 1,000$ for just the gun. good deal?

SORRY, jumped the gun & asked a ? in the wrong area without an intro. NY transplant living in Spring Hill FL. love my 7mm08 mdl 7, & 1100 lt 20 ga, always wanted a 40x, or 40xb. any thoughts/help appreciated.

Welcome from MI!!

thanks I guess, but I don't own a smart phone. that was sent from a pc and I believe there were some periods and commas. I am certainly no English major. the bbl I measured again was 22" from the muzzle to the bolt face. ended up buying the gun and fixed Leupold scope for $1,000. the scope cleaned up nice and not only can I easily/clearly see 22 cal holes at 100 yds, I could practicaly read a book. the trigger is so light, it's gonna take some getting used to. several 5 shot 1 large hole groups at 100 yds. that is with using neck sized 223 ammo made for my H&R. better shooting and ammo to come. I was really curious as to what a fair price for this set up would be. thanks in advance again.
