Howdy,

Just purchased a Remmy 1911 R1 a few days ago. Haven't shot it yet, as with the nonsense going on here in MD it will take approx. 6 weeks for paperwork to clear instead of 7 days as it's supposed/used to take. Needless to say, can't wait to shoot it.

This 1911 R1 feels great in the hand, and reminds me of the 1911 I shot in the military many moons ago.

Not my first Remington. I've owned an 870 Wingmaster since 1974, and still hunt with it. It has never failed me. Also have a Rem. 870 Tactical, fun firearm..Both are 12ga.

Next on the list is a 700, probably in .308, although I am a big 30-06 fan. I've owned a Win. Model 70 in 30-06 for many years, and love it. It needs a cousin though..

Looking forward to reading through the site and learning a few things.

Welcome to RemingtonOwners, I'm glad you like the R1 and hopefully you love it even more when you get to shoot it. I live in NY so I know all about long waits for Pistols  . Welcome again and feel free to post around.
