I purchased an 870 Express last weekend in 20 ga with the 28" barrel. This is my first Remington firearm. The gun will be used for breaking clays in the desert launched from my two throwers. I took it out yesterday and ran 50 rounds through it without a problem. The gun fits me well and points good. No buyers remorse. I know some had problems with there Express models ejecting the hulls because of rough chambers. I cleaned this gun before taking it out and the chamber and barrel look great. I think this is going to be a pleasing relationship. I also have a Mossberg 500C and it will be delegated to HD work. It is one of the combo packages and has the 26" & 18.5" barrels. I am a member over mossbergowners.com and it only seemed right to join here and reap the benefits. :D

Aw shucks as far as shotguns go the 870 Express wouldn't win any beauty contest on appearance alone. If you take in consideration function and performance then that definitely moves it close to the top for me. I'll see about some pictures. Thanks for the welcome.

Thanks for the welcome BigJohn. How is the weather down there in N.Texas? We have been locked into temps in the range of 0-20F for several weeks now with snow on the ground. It's hard to get out and do any shooting under these conditions so I've been spending some time in my shop reloading center fire cartridges and shot shells. I have also spent some time casting bullets and buckshot.
