NEW REMINGTON 1911 R1

Waiting to pickup my new Remington1911 R1. Any input on modications and ammo for the range would be appreciated!!!!

Congratulations on your new Remington 1911 R1! Which version did you pick up? As for the modifications; I would put some rounds down range and go from there. The sky is the limit when it comes to 1911s. When it comes to ammunition; I would pick up a few different sizes and brands and see what groups the best with your 1911.

I have the Talo model with 8 round clip. May want to get a .22 conversion kit in the future any recommendations??? How do you like the gun was not sure if I should have bought a Kimber?? Thanks for the help.

I sprang for the bucks and bought the Enhanced R1. Have put only about 2 or 300 rounds down range, but shooting side by side with a Colt Gold Cup & SR1911 can't tell much difference. Loved the grips on the R1 Enhanced so I put a set from Remington on the Gold Cup.
