Hello Forum members!

My name is Chad Hodge. I was invited to join this board to discuss my gun set-up in a photo posted to the Remington Facebook page that I used to kill an Osceola Gobbler this season. I have been a lifeling Remington fan and am glad to be here. I live in Florida, but hunt up and down the East coast.

I am a Pro-Staffer for Quaker Boy Gamecalls, ThermaCELL repellent, Limbsaver by SVL, and DK Flatwoods camo. I concentrate my hunting efforts on Turkeys and Waterfowl, shoot in archery competitions, and call in Turkey calling contests. I spend a lot of time at the patterning board testing out new load/choke combinations, and do testing for some of the ammo and choke companies. I love to talk guns, gear and hunting, so if you ever have any questions or comments, please drop me a line!

Welcome to Remington Owners forum! We are glad to have you as part of our growing online community. If you are ever up in the NY area you should let me know as I have a great property in upstate NY for gobbler hunting. I will have to pick your brain a bit on turkey chokes in the near future. I am still trying to work on what the best combination for my gun setup is (gasp but I shoot a Mossberg  ).

Thanks guys, for the welcome. I posted the requested info in the 870 thread on here. I will be hunting in Pennsylvania the last week of May. If I am fortunate enough to tag out, and help a couple others with their gobblers, I may very well make the trek up to NY! I can't get enough of battling gobblers and watching feathers fly. I put in a ton of hard work into my set-ups and each bird that wants to play, gives me more info then any patterning board.

I would also like to mention that I like to attatch photos to many of my posts/threads in order to give a visual of what I am talking about, or to give a better understanding. I don't do it to show off or brag. Helping others is the number one thing for me, be it new hunters, or experienced shooters who are looking for fresh thinking.

I look forward to chatting with each of you!

Also, @ DHonovich

I test many guns on the board besides Rem: Mossbergs, Benelli's, etc. I am facinated with getting every last drop of performance out of all shotguns!

That is great to hear. I can't wait for May 1st (opening day for turkey season here in New York). No worries on the pictures, we all enjoy checking each others photos out. Glad to hear you are open to other gun brands. I am the exact same way. I am a diehard Mossberg nut but love learning about all guns. If you get time you should check out www.MossbergOwners.com. We started that site back in late August. We hope for this site to catch up to the traffic quickly.
