A bit about me I suppose. When I first started hunting I cut my teeth with a nylon 66 that had been through the ringer. That little .22 could take a beating and was more reliable than my Fathers Ruger 10/22 (though not nearly as sexy). Graduated to my Grandfathers Model 14 in .35 Remington for deer hunting, which never failed me. I still have that great Pedersen designed rifle today.

Fast forward to a few years ago; My father was looking for a .380 that my Mother would be able to use and chamber a round with. I researched a loooong time for something which would fit his budget and be easy to use, with a primary consideration being moderate recoil and ease of chambering a round. The RM .380 was a natural choice. The ONLY choice, really, and thanks to real, unbiased reviews from folks like you, we knew exactly what we would get. None of the "Remington is junk, buy a XXXX" from folks who have never touched the thing!
I was very impressed with the quality and simplicity of that little pistol. So this year, I decided I had to buy one for myself (even though my EDC is a lgtwt commander style .45 and I am very comfortable carrying it). At the same time, I purchased a R51 because, why not. I am so far nothing but pleased with them and look forward to much more trigger time as soon as it warms up again. Not a single failure with the R51, though I did have to modify the mag in order to chamber a round from a full mag, slide closed, before I even shot it. Not a big deal to me, actually part of the fun IMO.
Then again, I daily carry a 1911, sooo... yeah, I like to tinker.

Very much hoping that Remington can pull it out. I like to root for the underdog, but never thought Remington would be in such a position! Really praying for the rank and file. Hopefully, if they do fix the issues at the top and with CS, the product will fall in line and the gun community will give them a chance.
That last part is probably the toughest obstacle, sad to say.
