Unlike others, I kept my original R51. I'm hoping it'll be worth something someday. It always shot accurately but the rear sight kept wandering to the left. I had a screw put in that sight to cure that. I bought a new barrel for it because most ammo would not fall out of the barrel (when disassembled) when I held the barrel vertically. The new barrel was a little better in that regard, most ammo would fall out when tested that way. Finally, the magazines would fall out at random times even, sometimes, when releasing the slide with an empty magazine.

So, I'm hoping the new one will be better. I got my new, 2nd Generation, R51 this morning. I asked my local gun store to order. He did so last Wednesday and it arrived this morning.

It came in a plastic bag and the outside of the pistol was covered in a light oil. I'll clean it and lube it tonight and probably shoot it tomorrow or the the next day. I'm hoping I can trust it as a concealed carry piece.

Right now, I carry a 638-4 S&W J frame and trust it totally. It fits in my pocket easily. I'll be looking for the right size Uncle Mike pocket holster soon and hope that 22 ounces plus ammo will carry easily in my right pants pocket. Before I carry the R51 I'll have to shoot it a bunch to see how reliable this iteration is.
