New to the bolt action world. Work up on the North Slope, Alaska but live in Texas. Will be picking up a Rem 700 .308 AAC-SD I ordered when I get back from work up here in Alaska from my FFL dealer. So far have a new timney trigger, Vortex Viper PST 4-14 scope , B&C Tactical Medalist stock, Harris Bipod and KRG bolt mod going on it.
Been along time since I actively shot a bolt gun, been a long time black gun owner. Got this one for mainly long range target shooting. My black guns are a LWRC 68, AAC 300 Blackout and YHM 556. All are outfitted with a YHM flash hider to accomadate the YHM .30 Cal Titanium Ultra Lite can. A few pistols. The 68 has a Vortex Viper PST 1-4 with qd mounting and also a Flir RS64x35 thermal for hog hunting, the 556 has a EOTech reddot, and the 300BO has a Nikon 300 BLKOUT scope.
Looking forward to this .308 and seeing what I can do shooting wise and reloading my own rounds for it.
Use a RCBS reloading setup, will be checking out some other helpfull mods and reload info. Def reloads that will reach out to 1000 yrds and subsonic rounds.

Welcome from MI!!
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.-Ronald Reagan

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on getting a bolt rifle. I love all of the black rifles you mentioned that you had. Do you compete with the black guns or do you hunt with them?
