so i bought a 7600 in 270 win and its a great gun i am very impressed with it but after carrying it around the Australian bush for a week holding it by the reciever i have noticed that some of the bluing has rubbed off and it has a bit of rust on it and i was wonder if i should take it apart and re blue it myself or if i should get a gun smith to do it if so how much would a gun smith cost? thanks.

Welcome to the Remington Owners Forum Rohan !!

Couldn't tell you how much a gunsmith in the Outback is going to charge for a re-blue...as I have no point of reference.

Cold bluing is easy to do...and how to guides are posted on YouTube.

Yes...YouTube does have disassembly / reassembly videos on the 7600...google same to find.

BTW...I own a 7600 chambered in 30-06.
