Fun with old 60's 572 and CCI Cb Shorts!

What fun! I've had my grandfather's 572 from the 60's in the attic for a couple years and never shot it till today-- I had it looked at by a smith a while back, and he gave the ok, but had no place to shoot (my local range's rifle range was out of commission. So on a whim I ran down to Gander Mountain and picked up a couple of boxes of CCI CB shorts. Then I scoped up the gun and took it out to the backyard.
Wow, what a fun little round in that rifle, not sure how many max it can fit, but I kept loading up with 15 and had a blast. Very quiet round, but it seems perfect for small game. I'm used to air rifles, but even with my strongest pump gun I get maybe a little over half of the 32 fpe the CB shorts give me-- don't have to worry about overpenetration, and they're quiet!
This old gun is real accurate (I seriously doubt my grandfather would have owned anything other), and I'm so pleased to be able to shoot it. I've got a fine squirrel rifle now!
