I don't have any better pictures sorry, finish looks to be 75% or better, serial number is 6827XX

Anyone care to guess the value of this gun? It is part of a collection I may be buying

Based on the one poor picture, I'd say the stock has been refinished since the metal displays much more wear. I could be wrong. More and better pictures would help. A lot!

From a collector standpoint, I'd say $200. If in fact it is 75% or better, then $300, maybe $400. If I just "wanted" the gun, then the sky is the limit.

The "value" is entirely different if you're a flipper, or a collector. If you expect to buy it and resell it for a profit, then the economics drive it's value. But if it's something you want, then what you're willing to pay is the only yardstick.

I ended up buying the gun, I'll figure out the MFG date and get better pics. It is chambered in .22 Rem Special (.22 WRF)

That would make it a Model 12CS. I am not a collector. They call me an "accumulator". How is ammo availability? I don't buy things I can't shoot!

Ammo is available, going to try and pick some up today, if my LGS doesn't have any I'll order a case from Midway USA.

Date stamp says the gun was built in Oct 1926

.22 WRF is widely available. I get it at Sportsman's Warehouse but I've seen it at most major stores like Cabela's and Bass Pro. Very fun to shoot and can be used in any 22 WMR-chambered firearm (except autoloaders, I think) with a LOT less muzzleblast than 22 WMR. My Ruger Single Six's love it.

Thanks for showing. It looks like a real beauty and built like a brick s/h back in those days. nice to see it is in .22 W.R.F for a change. Love those old gems built from milled parts.
