Remington Model 24 Born Date 1929..Refurb help

I have looked for a long time at pictures of Remington Model 24's on the web. I cannot find a picture that answers my question I am looking to answer.
I have a Model 24 I have refurbed and need to know one thing. Was the safety marked with red paint in the center circle to indicate "FIRE".
I cannot find a picture that answers this question which most likely means "NO" but the safety on mine looks as though at one time the safety may have been marked in such a manner.
