Hunted with her this year. No blood. Sooo, I got a set of Leupold rings and a 1 piece base and mounted an old, but outstanding, 4x Redfield Tracker SE. Once zeroed, my first 3 rounds at 100 yards was 13/16ths. Was shooting 130 grain Barnes TTSX and 54 grains of Varget. 3080 fps. Must say I am impressed. Worst group was 1 5/16ths. My first time with Barnes.
Good rifle. Good scope. Just need a critter...

Great shootin indeed and in a pump. Matter of fact got a Redfield Tracker 3x9 on my Model Four [7400] and got a 1 1/2 inch 3 shot group at 75 yards using the 130 Core-Lokt in my .270. Decided not to blow $200 or more on a scope if mine still works. Great looking guns with decent bluing and walnut.

There are a few features of the 7600 that are also seen in some high precision bolt guns. Forgive the comparison...
The free floated barrel is the obvious one, but the floating bolt head is similar to the 110 Savage.
I've had my share of bolt guns that didn't shoot as well and some that did were quite fussy about it.
Its useful to load ammo with the same care and precision you would use for a target/varmint rifle AND shoot it as though it were a target rifle, using proper breath control, sight picture, trigger control and follow through. I have found that by doing so, rifles normally considered to be " Bullet hoses" are actually quite accurate.
