Extending Model Seven Compact Stock

I fell heir to a nice 2004 vintage Compact Model Seven in .243. This is an excellent rifle. The only shortfall is the short stock for young folks or folks with a small reach. Are there any suggestions, short of getting another stock, out there for an add-on that would extend this stock. ? The shape of the stock is good-it's only too short. :?:

Nice gun that Model 7. Check out those padded recoil pads that should give a bit more length of pull. Would hate to change the stock myself

Thanks, search is on for a pad that works and looks good. Seems like this rifle, 2004 vintage, has a longer barrel and shorter stock that the current rifle. Remington sent a replacement recoil pad since the old pad had deteriorated. No kidding, the rifle stuck to the safe floor. The replacement pad was sent quickly. I held off doing anything until the pull could be measured with new pad. Thanks for the suggestion. Take care and be safe.

You might try adding an extension such as the ones Ruger makes for their American rimfire rifle. They may even be compatible in size, or at least something close to work with. I think the same system is used on the new version 10/22's.
