I would like to see a thread dedicated to waterfowl hunting in the Hunting section. I have some pics of Remington guns and shells in action, and it would be fun to share :D

Question: are user names and passwords valid over at the sister sites?

Absolutely! I am also on Mossberg and Ithaca with the same user name, avatar and everything!

Big thanks to the crew for getting the sites up and running! I really enjoy being able to share about guns and otherwise!

Let us know if you have any issues signing up on the sister sites! If you want I can activate your account on the others for you.

I was thinkin about FOA.

What about some sort of header on all the sites above this section and under the ad space with a mention of the blog page and a link.

Or even include it in the rotation of ads? I'm not sure how to promote it, just something that makes it more visible as FOA is the engine to help achieve some of the goals for the "Owners" sites.

What about a link in the "sister sites" section?

Was wondering if the admin could consider lightening up the background color? Personally, I find the MO site colors more attractive but I was thinking it has something to do with a lighter background. Some of the writing here on RO in similar colors to the background is harder to read...not as stark.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the input and we are currently looking into updating all the forums. When we do so we will keep that in consideration.

Seems to be all but closed down. I found more information on Remington R-1 pistols on the XD, Glock, and Ruger Forums. Apparently folks are not too enthusiastic about Remington products.

I own a Rem Model 597 semi- in .22 Magnum.
I tried doing a Search by first using... 597 and then Model 597. No results...
I am sure there are some old posts out there somewhere...

What to do?

Believe we could use a section for general discussion like other sites have. I think that would really beef-up the forum. Topics would include other areas of interest concerning interests in other hobbies.

TRAFFIC. Something to boost traffic, as lots of traffic generates lots of discussion and the users make the board great. But something has to be done to boost traffic.

There's a whole forum sub-section devoted to the 597/597M in the rifles section. I would have started there.
