Born into an Army Air Corps family during WWII (Dad flew P-47s in the Pacific Theater and demobbed in '46). He was recalled to the Air Force for jet fighter pilot duty at end of '51 for Korean War and stayed in because "flying jet fighters is just too much fun to quit." In December '64 I was "greeted" and sent to Ft. Jackson, SC, for basic, then on to specialty training outside New York City. While in a "cushy" super clerk job in suburban D.C., the XO decided I needed "to do bigger things." Six months at Benning and I was a newly-minted 2d john. Remained at Benning for a few months then on to Ft. Ben Harrison for some more training, then a 21 day cruise on the S.S. Weigel (sp?) to the shores of sunny Southeast Asia for a 14-month "hands-on" advanced seminar in nation building and conflict resolution in the live fire zone. Final 12 months was at JFK Center for Special Warfare at Bragg, then off to graduate school and life since June '69.

Was in the Marines from 83'-87'. Worked on helicopters, traveled around a bit, and got out as an E-4 Corporal. Miss it sometimes.

2004- present Active duty USN Seabee, served naval aviation 04-07 F/A 18 legacies. Been deployed with every branch even worked with Coasties. Thank you guys who have served before me.

USAF Pararescue, 1969-1989. Multiple tours in all the hot spots of the time, including several you'll never hear about. Wouldn't trade it for the world...

Served honorably from 1982 - 1988 in US ARMY , right out of high school , basic @ Ft Mcclellan
Alabama , Ait @ Ft Knox kentucky then off to Europe ( Aschaffensburg,Germany ) Graves Barracks B Co.
1st Battalion 7th Infantry Regiment 3rd Infantry Division ( Marne Division ) then off to Ft Polk ,
Louisianna C Co. 4/12 Calvary 5th Infantry Division ( Red Devils ) proud to have served . I thank all
who have served or will be serving in the future

US Army (regular Army) 20+ years 1991-2011, would have stayed longer but some Afghan decided that fate for me in April 2010 . Now I am 100% retired/disabled and living my life to the fullest!

Lookin' sharp there, Rob! Thank you for your military career in service to our great nation. BTW, my own son served with the 82d in Iraq in '08-'09. He was assigned to 2-505th PIR, 3d Bde. My hero!

Enlisted in 86, ranger option, osut at benning, jump school, then rip,(now known as rasp). Ended up in 2nd ranger batt., anddid the combat jump in just cause(panama), never knew how precious a m60 machine gun could become. Orders to ft bragg, 1/325 air, in august of 90, was on drf status, and ended up in saudi arabia, and the ensuing desert storm/shield. Seperated in 95 as a e6, been trying to acclimate back into civilian life ever since.
