Remington 1100 problem

After shooting +-75 rounds out of my 1100 at the skeet/trap range i took it home for a deep clean because the universal Winchester loads left my shotgun filthy. After disassembling the shotgun and cleaning it, I went to assemble it. Much to my surprise the small takedown pin that drives through the receiver and trigger assembly would not drive all the way through. I pulled it out and looked in the receiver to see the bolt release leaver (the leaver that is pushed in to pull the bolt from the receiver) slid over half of the hole, stopping the pin. Do y’all have any suggestion on how to move this? I tried driving it back with a mallet but that thing is stuck.

I have never encountered one that would not slide back after it moved. It had to slide after you disassembled it. I have had to stick and old flat bladed screwdriver or Allen wrench in there and then tap that with a hammer. If all else fails you can take a narrow flat bladed screwdriver and go in from the front and pry it out - bending the staking. Superglue will hold it fine. I have the proper staking tool but will never stake another one.

That's why I don't take mine apart. often a pain in the a** going back together. Just clean what I can see.
