Future RP models?

I am wondering if Remington will follow Beretta’s lead with the APX series. Will Remington offer RP designs in a compact model and even a single stack model? If the speculation about discontinuing the R51 is true, then there will be a big gap in Remington’s lineup. I don’t think this gap could be filled with more 1911 offerings because of price points.
Any speculation or rumors?

I have heard nothing in my jaunts of late, but it would be a good option for Remington. Sadly I can't say they are making good "gun" decisions lately, they all seem to be only good accountant decisions.

Agree Scorpion! They should start by bringing back proven winners like the 788. From what I read here some of those budget jobs like the 710-770 were a waste of resources and are not good examples of what dedicated Remington followers are used too. Hopefully the 1100 while still in production is as good in quality as my vintage one.

Unfortunately too true.
