Has anyone used or had any experience with Underwood +P 380 ammo. The reviews on Midway USA says it runs fine through a Glock 42 and a couple other guns. Being there is no standard for +P 380 it concerns me to run it through my RM380 I would like to use it though it has some great specs

As someone who ended up with a cracked slide, and someone who also--very early in my ownership--had some undue wear/peening on slide/barrel contact points that needed some gunsmith attention, I would tread very lightly with hotter ammo choices for the RM380. Couple that with Remington's very antagonistic attitude toward servicing their pistols, and I think choices like Underwood +P or Buffalo Bore are disasters waiting to happen. (And I would happily shoot either of those in my Pico or Glock.)

YRMV, of course, but for me I'll be making do with the milder choices of ammo that still perform adequately.

What bosco said, while Underwood and Buffalo bore are fantastic ammo I would not shoot it in my RM380, there have been several things that have been reported with the RM. Some people may use it with no problems but I think it may have too much pressure and slide speed. Just my humble opinion and like a&&#@!*s everybody has one.

i wouldn't take a chance on it. my .380 pistols all operate on Federal Hydra-shok quite well. S&W .380 Body Guard, LCP and RM380. it's your pistol....do as you please.

The manual specifically states not to use +P ammo. Use it at your own risk. Might not hurt, but why take the chance?

As Bosco said, I wouldn't shoot the +P ammo in my Remington. I just purchased a new Performance Center S&W 380 EZ and the manual specifically said to not shoot any non SAMMI ammo (+P) through the pistol. I contacted Sig about my P-238 and they said it's fine in their pistol, just to not shoot +P+ through it.
