i installed the Galloway hammer spring and will get around to the firing pin return spring and recoil spring tomorrow. trigger pull was 8.5# [approx] before install and is 7# after installation. really made a difference. i did learn a simple trick to get the hammer spring pin out....used a magnet.

will take to the range to see if any light strikes happen, but really doubt it. i'm really liking this pistol. very few moving parts.

I have both springs in mine, and it does make a significant difference in the trigger pull, at least subjectively.

Could you measure your trigger pull after you get both springs installed? I'd like to see if it is actually as light as it seems.

7# 2oz. average of 5 pulls. second set 6# 15oz. i think 7# is pretty accurate. it really made a difference. the most difficult part was installing the little back plate behind the firing pin. finally had to put it in a small vise, well padded. without the vise it wasn't going to happen for me.

Thanks for the report.

Well, I guess that's decent. Especially considering what mine felt like right out of the box (gritty and heavy). Better than a typical revolver, although the RM380 geometry makes the squeeze a bit more challenging, given how far back (nearly at the frame) the trigger breaks.

I'm greedy, so I'd like another 1/2 lb taken off the pull. Losing a 1/4" would be nice, too! But for a SD gun that's likely to be used as a last-ditch weapon, it's more than adequate.

to the range yesterday and fired 60 rounds through RM380, my first trip since installing Galloway kit. no glitches with Federal 95 gr FMJ or Lehigh 90 gr Extreme Penetrator. the Lehigh is going to be my every day carry ammo [not cheap..$1.50/round]. i did polish the feed ramp with a mild abrasive. also installed the Viridian Reactor 5 green laser. really a nice set up. if a windfall comes my way will send barrel to Robar for NP3+ treatment plus polishing chamber and throating the barrel.

Be sure to get that firing pin spring in there when you can. Brandyn from Galloway told me reducing the hammer spring weight without reducing the firing pin spring weight may result in light strikes. Just FYI.
I really like the Galloway upgrades. Wish they still offered the modified trigger bar to shorten the trigger pull.
