Man those are some nice Remington Model 700s. Those stocks are so nice. I would love to build one just like your .308!

Thank you Sir,
The builds were a great experience, but nothing compared to shooting these bad boys. I love 'em. The AICS platforms are awesome. A bit pricey, but worth every penny. They're a bit heavier than a traditional hunting style stock, but I find the added weight increases stability for bench or prone shooting. I'll eventually build another in .300 win mag once I find a range out here with enough distance to let it run. Really makes me miss all the wide open space back home in TX. 16.5" 597 AAC-SD .22lr

Love it. Hows the progress on the silence coming?

Still waiting on the suppressor to arrive at my LGS.
He has a couple in stock, but I'm waiting on the titanium model. They're about a third of the weight of the standard models. Unfortunately, I can't begin the process until I have my suppressor. The Class III paperwork has to be submitted with the serial number of the suppressor being registered. It'll be worth the wait though... 16.5" 597 AAC-SD .22lr

Pictured below is my Remington Model 700BDL chambered in 7mm Rem Mag with a 24" barrel.
The 700BDL is a manually-operated bolt action with 2 forward dual-opposed lugs and a rear safety lug formed by the bolt handle lug sitting in a receiver recess. The bolt face is recessed, fully enclosing the base of the cartridge, and the extractor is a C-clip sitting within the bolt face. The ejector is a plunger on the bolt face actuated by a coil spring. The bolt is of 3-piece construction, brazed together (head, body and bolt handle). The receiver is milled from round cross-section steel. Depending on caliber, the internal magazine holds either 3, 4, or 5 cartridges and has a flush floor plate for quick unloading. The rifle can also be ordered with a detachable box magazine. |
