Dog229 Here,
I have a 1977 870 20g. in the large frame receiver that was made up to the late 70's by what Remington told me. It is wingmaster high gloss finish with wingmaster walnut checkered wood with 28"
mod rib barrel. My question is how rare is this gun with a vent rib barrel. I have come across them with plain barrel but not many with a vent rib. Also, knowing that the receiver and mag tube is the same as 12g. does the loading and shell extraction need any certain ammo to work reliable. I have not shot it but hope it turns out to be a great dove gun. The action is slick as slick can be and overall cond. is in the 90% grade. I got it for $225. at a flea market on hwy 64 in Kentucky and ran.
Anyone that has one like it please reply back on if any problems if any. Now looking for a 410. and a 28g. and a 16g. which i have found in a gun store but not in great cond. and without wingmaster wood
just the corn comb style with 28" mod plain barrel for $275. Worth it or not i do not know.
Long LIVE POPCORN SUTTON!!!!! APPLE PIE ANYONE?
