Hi all. I'm finding that as I get older, I don't know everything like I did when I was younger I came here in search of some information on my first deer rifle. It's a model 760 in .222 It was new to me on my 13th birthday. I've had it 37 years now. I'll be posting more information in the discontinued model area if you want to check it out.

Been hunting and collecting guns since I got my first rifle on my 7th birthday (Ruger 10/22). That was back in a time (even in California) when guns weren't so scary. I did my best growing up to help keep our orchard free of those pesky ground squirrels.

Anyway, that's just a little about me. Happy to be here and thanks for having me.

Most of the guys here lived during a much more civilized time.

It was nothing to see several of us (teenage) kids walking up the railroad tracks with shotguns and rifles slung across our shoulder looking for rabbits or squirrels. Nobody gave it a second thought.
