New to the forum. Been hunting for 50+ years. Reloading over 40. Grew up on family ranch in western Montana. When I was younger it was possible to hunt just about anywhere on anyone’s property. Boy are those days long gone. Elk were easy to find and most landowners wanted the herds thinned out. Anyway, I also love archery hunting. Now that I’m retired getting out isn’t as hard to do. Have rifles from .22’s to 375 RUM. Father-in-law lived in Alaska where some of the big boys are. Beautiful country. Hope you all have a great hunting season this year. Stay safe and shoot lots!

It sounds like you're going to fit in well here and share similar interests to a lot of the other guys. Myself included of course.

I'm not able to hold a draw on a long bow anymore so the last few years, I've been using a crossbow. I didn't get to hunt last year though at all. Stupid bear over-population ran everything else off and we've been struggling keeping any animal at the property for very long.
