Hello all. New to this forum. I've been a REMINGTON fan since the early 50s. My Dad had an early M-12 that got me started on REMINGTON and the rest, as they say, is history.

I've worked on a LOT of REMINGTONs over the years but this is a new one on me. How is the extractor on the 722 rivetless extractor kept from turning inside the bolt recess? I thought there was supposed to be a couple of "bumps" (for lack of a better description) one on each side of the ejector that positioned the extractor and retained it.

I have in my shop a 722 308 WIN that is rivetless and the recess is perfectly round. I can push the extractor anywhere I want, with the ejector removed of course.

What am I missing here?

I looked at my 721 and it appears to be one end is butt up against the ejector, along with a tight fit.

It would be helpful if you could post up some pics of what it "should" look like. Thanks.
