Hi All
Past 20 years, give or take, I've been pretty much an exclusive muzzleloader. Decided to settle on a breechloader, might be nice to have, and picked up a nearly NIB EH barrel code ( October 1987) 7600 .30-06.
She had an awful Bushnell Sportview 3x9 in Kwik Site see throughs. Yuck. Been shooting her with the ( excellent) open sights, with agreeable results. Am currently working on some .30-30/.300 Savage class loads as the full throttle 06 loads are not necessary for me. Plus they pack a wallop on both ends. I like the rifle. Handles well, points well and isn't a bolt action.

Think ya made a good choice Muddly. Ones I handled pumped pretty smooth and the 7600 line is a huge step over the latest offerings in my opinion. Don't forget that Reduced Recoil ammo from Remington. Does tame the recoil I have found.

I loaded some 170 gr Hornady flat points over 45 gr of IMR4064. 2460 fps and sub inch 3 rounders at 50 yards with open sights. Smallest group was 1/2 inch. Off to a good start!

Not bad at all. Don't hand load myself. My 700 groups very well with 150 Rem. premium stuff.
