Just purchased a 760 and i have no idea what this is at the end of my action tube or how to get it off? special wrench of some sort possibly?

Did you buy that used? Looks like someone adapted the action/magazine tube cap for a flashlight holder. From the pic it does not look OEM.

Its a 1951 760 so yeah used, and its a quick sling

I believe if you unscrew the magazine cap - the part with the square grooves machined in it at 90 degrees, that sling adapter will come off with it.
What could have happened... did.

Yeah it is scorpian, and its not a mag cap its an action tube cap, but will try, Hope is dosent need a custom tool
