Found this group via Google searches for info on the R51. I'd been researching it for a while after it came back last year, and though it doesn't sound like it's been perfected, thought I would take the plunge. I have some tolerance for the occasional issue with the funkier firearms (Pederson Block, Gas delay, funky looks) and like to figure out what makes them tick best. Plus, the discounted price at a local Big Box store, their July 8% off sale, and Remington's $50 rebate made the deal not too scary if I wind up with a lemon.

So far it shoots well, with only a single lockup/Nose Dive on Winchester USA "Target Pack" FMJ rounds. There were a few "slow-return-to-battery" rounds on other types of ammo, and trying to load it 7 + 1 in the chamber may be easier said than done.

Tips and advice from this forum helped tremendously in the decision to buy and in how to conduct my first range session with it and what to expect and how to handle it.

So far I'm really enjoying this little guy.

Ordered some Chocolate Brown replacement grips from EBay also recommended elsewhere on this forum.
