Looks good! How does LMF II and Bear Grylls Ultimate Knife compare to each other?

I haven't had enough time to compare them yet but I will do so in the near future.

Here's the only Gerber knife I own...a Paraframe II...that I bought on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX...down the block from the Alamo...when down there on DoD TDY...
It's sharp, lightweight, easy to keep clean and spartan in design. SPECS •Overall Length: 8.27" •Blade Length: 3.53" •Closed Length: 4.8" •Weight: 4.2 oz. •Lock Mechanism: Frame-lock •Blade Style: Clip Point •Blade Material: High Carbon Stainless •Blade Type: Serrated •Handle Material Stainless Steel •Opening Style: One-handed opening |

I carried a Gerber boot knife for many years, when in uniform. I always felt it made a better backup than a small pistol. I still have it and it looks like new.

Like the LMF. Reviews seem mostly positive. 420 H.C. stainless I believe. I bought the smaller Prodigy Tanto and it keeps an edge quite well for the cutting I have done. Plus the thick full tang blade is sturdy and makes a good hiking or defense knife should the need arise. Good prices off Amazon for both these models.
