Hi, I just acquired a Rem. 12, pump 22, manufactured in 1917. The action works fine, but
it can not eject the spent shell casing. The ejector is working fine, but the casing seems to swell
up in the chamber and is very hard to pull out. The barrel is stamped 22 short, long and long rifle, so it should be fine shooting the long rifle shell which I use. The shells I use are Remington brand golden bullets. I've cleaned the barrel as best I can, used a wire brush and went over it many times, still it sticks.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you. larry.k

At that age...the rifle may need a trip to a competent gunsmith for a check...
