I have what might be a stupid question, but I'm getting frustrated and hopefully someone can help me out.
Honestly, I have to assume it is my own fault. But has anyone else had problems getting the pin out?
I can't even clean the gun because I can't take it apart. It is supposed to be so easy that it falls out if you just line up the holes, but it won't even come out with a punch.
Any suggestions? I can't figure out why it would be stuck. Thanks for your help!

If you can go to YouTube and look up Hickok45 and his review on RM380, during first part of he shows how to hold gun to easily remove pin.
I can't figure out how to add a picture but what you want to do is put pistol in right hand put web between thumb and first finger on slide just behind ejection port put thumb straight down on left grip and little finger down right grip then wrap second finger finger under dovetail, with left hand move slide back (be sure and not touch barrel) you will see pin lined up in hole grip tight with right hand and you can adjust forward and back a little to line up pin then turn gun to left with pin opening down and shake a bit and it should fall out, if not holding same way take tooth pick or paper clip to push pin out. |

When I said little finger I was talking about 1st finger next to thumb

Thanks for replying Mgaines! Unfortunately that didn't work out for me. Hickok's review definitely made it look easy, but I couldn't replicate it. Or at least, not on my gun. I stopped at a local Gander Mountain today and got it to fall right out of their floor model. But mine is still like it is welded in place. Is it possible that some dirt or oil somehow wound up in there and is creating a seal? And if so, what can I do about it? I am afraid of using too much force because I do not want to damage the gun or put the punch through my hand |

Ok, so, I got it. It just required way more force than I think I should have had to apply. There was a ton of gunk (very technical term) on it and in the holes, and I'm not sure what it was. Now that I have cleaned it off, it is working properly. So, sorry for the nothingburger, and thanks for the help! If this is the biggest problem I have with this gun, and I hope it is, then I think it will be a good one.
So now, do I need to close this thread, or anything? |
