I had purchased a new Beretta Commercial M9 about a year-and-a-half ago. Field stripped it, cleaned it, lightly lubed it, and put it in my humidity-controlled safe in a silicone "Bore Sock" (I think they're called). In the meantime, I happened onto a "deal I couldn't refuse" on a Browning Hi Power with which I immediately fell in love. I decided that the still-unfired M9 was one more 9mm than I needed - but a guy can never have too many 1911s! So, the M9 is outbound and a 1911R1 is inbound! :P

I think you will be happy with it, I picked one up 2 weeks ago. I've put about 300 rounds through it and it works great. I did smooth up the trigger pull a bit, now I like it even more.
Congrats !
